Azuero Resource Center

The Azuero Resource Center (ARC) is the center for environmental information on the Azuero and a conduit to similar projects around the world. It provides free access to information on sustainability: eco/organic agriculture, alternative energy and architecture, waste reduction, reforestation, community activism, species protection, and much more. The digital resources of the ARC are available on this site, including a complete listing of our library contents, scientific papers, information about our programs and study opportunities, local news related to sustainability, a calendar of events, and so much more.

On the Azuero Resource Center page, you can search our catalog to find resources in our library located in the town of Pedasi, Panama as well as digital resources that you can access directly from our website.

The Azuero Earth Project’s physical library is located in our office in Pedasí and is open to the public during regular business hours. The library contains books and other printed materials related to architecture, land management, sustainable agriculture, biology, and much more.

Azuero Plant Database

The Azuero Earth Project Plant Database database provides detailed information on plant species appropriate for planting in the Azuero Peninsula. Our extensive database includes plants and trees suitable for use in a variety of projects, such as reforestation, live fences, and medicinal uses. Plants can be searched by name or characteristic, and can be browsed alphabetically.

Azuero Map

During 2012 AEP made available the Regional Map of the Azuero. This comprehensive, bilingual map includes great detail of the Peninsula including local roads, protected areas, and points of interest. This truly is the Azuero map for every need – from planning an Azuero vacation, to finding the nearest hospital, recycling center, gas station, and tree nursery, to teaching local children about the value of their surroundings. Our map makes the perfect souvenir to remember the beautiful beaches, abundant sea life, rolling hills, farmland, forests, and picturesque towns of Azuero. Read more about it!
