The Alliance for the Million Hectares
The Azuero Earth Project forms part of the Alliance for the Million Hectares of Reforested and Restored Hectares, Panama’s national Bonn Challenge Commitment spanning 20 years that is administered by MiAmbiente and Ancon, among others.
APTSO
APTSO is a non-profit association directed by a group of pioneers in the fields of tourism, science and development that intends to spread sustainable tourism across both the private and public sectors in order to improve the environmental and common development of Panama.
City of Knowledge
The Azuero Earth Project has been a member of Panama’s City of Knowledge since December 2012. The City of Knowledge’s mission is being an international platform for knowledge management to promote sustainable development and the competitive advantages of Panama.
ESRI Conservation Program
The ESRI Conservation Program, is the non-profit support arm of the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). Thanks to their generous donation of ArcGIS software and GIS learning resources, we have begun to comprehensively map conservation priorities on the Azuero Peninsula.
Global Giving
GlobalGiving is the first and largest global crowdfunding community that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country around the world. We make it possible for local organizations to access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to become more effective and make our world a better place.
Planet Action
Planet Action supports local projects acting on Climate Change-related issues by providing geographic information and technology to NGOs, universities, and research centers.
Ponte en Algo
AEP forms a part of Ponte en Algo, a virtual platform that connects Panamanian citizens with causes and organizations that need them. Ponte en Algo’s webpage offers a diversity of professional development and volunteer opportunities within nonprofit and grassroots organizations in Panama. It includes a directory of nonprofits in Panama, as well as events, information and social sector news.
URISA GISCorps
URISA’s GISCorps provides volunteers that use GIS to assist with humanitarian, environmental, health, economic development and community projects around the world. GIS Corps volunteers frequently work to update and perform analysis for the Azuero Earth Project’s GIS database.
SOMASPA
AEP has worked with SOMASPA on various projects over the years, including research with SOMASPA and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale on wild feline species, including jaguars and ocelots, in Azuero’s Cerro Hoya National Park. SOMASPA unites a diverse network of research scientists performing field research on wildlife species from Chiriquí to Darién and promotes development of the scientific community in Panama.
SumaRSE
SumaRSE is Panama’s Corporate Social Responsibility network, affiliated with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. As Panama’s local network for the Global Compact, it works with diverse sectors across society to further sustainable development.
United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. Online volunteering allows organizations and volunteers to team up to address sustainable development challenges – anywhere in the world, from any device.
